Sasan graduated from the University of Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was awarded a BA Hons degree in Visual Communication. He also holds a Diploma in Fine Art from the same establishment.
His first job after graduation in 2002 was with the Environment Agency in Ireland, drawing detailed ink illustrations of Minibeasts such as spiders, ants and other invertebrates for school books. This initiated his love for detailed ink drawings and cross hatching which can be still seen in his work today.
Having worked for numerous publishers and ad agencies in South Africa, the Middle East and Europe, Sasan continues to work as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and tattoo artist. His specialty lies in the field of conceptual editorial illustrations using a combination of ink & pen drawings and photo collages.
Apple ipod, Chevrolet and Nestle are just a few of the clients he has worked for. Sasan is half German, half Persian but spent most of his life in Kenya and Northern Ireland. He currently floats between Frankfurt, Cape Town and Dubai.
